About FWFS
Mission:
To promote Gospel-based, Family-centered, School-supported education and true scholarship. (Why promote and not provide? Because the purpose of the school is to support, not replace individual and family scholarship roles.)
Purpose:
The Far West Family school is a group of families and community members meeting together to support one another as home-based educators striving for true scholarship. Together, we create hybrid classes, group activities, field trips, events, extracurricular activities and service opportunities to enhance and enrich our families' homeschooling experiences.

Training and Orientation
FWFS offers extensive support and training to guide you on this path. We have training videos, community updates, and of course, in-person classes Tuesdays and Thursdays.

As part of the Family School Online, FWFS is able to offer a full course catalog to satisfy the academic needs and aspirations of each scholar.
All lessons incorporate principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit is invited to instruct and edify each of us. The following core academic subjects are included: science, history, literature, geography, art and music.
Elective courses, parent teacher training, character development, daily celebrations, and math and language arts reviews are just some of the wonderful resources offered by the Family School Online.
Parent Involvement
Parents are a significant part of the FWFS experience and vital to making it all possible. We are ALL needed to make this work!
Past Events
Our students had a fantastic experience at our Cinco de Prom event held at the FWFS school. Music was selected by the scholar council.
